Utpal Kanti Roy is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). He completed his B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from City University and is currently pursuing his M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU). His academic journey reflects a strong dedication to higher education, research, and continuous professional growth. With over three years of academic teaching experience and one year of industry involvement, Mr. Roy brings a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to his academic role. His professional background enables him to effectively connect classroom concepts with real-world applications, contributing to an engaging and application-oriented learning environment. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Image Processing, and Computer Vision, with a particular emphasis on intelligent image-based analysis and real-world problem-solving using AI-driven approaches. Mr. Roy has demonstrated excellence and leadership through various academic and technical achievements. He secured first position in a poster presentation at a university-level creativity carnival and achieved championship titles in multiple technology-based skill competitions, including innovative software and robotics projects. In addition, he has contributed to student development and leadership activities, serving as a champion coach in inter-departmental sports championships. These experiences reflect his commitment to holistic education, teamwork, and mentorship. As an educator, Mr. Roy is passionate about guiding students, fostering innovation, and nurturing critical thinking skills to prepare future engineers for emerging technological challenges and societal needs.
