Md. Saudia Afridi, Lecturer in the Department of Textile Engineering at City University, Dhaka. He holds a B.Sc. in Textile Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), graduating ranked 1st in his department and 4th in the overall batch, with a CGPA of 3.89 out of 4.00. His academic excellence was recognized through four consecutive University Merit Scholarships and the Dean's Award. His specialization covers Dyes and Chemical Engineering, including textile wet processing, sustainable dyeing technologies, effluent treatment operations, and functional textile development. He consolidated this with an industrial internship at DBL Group, Gazipur, contributing to large-scale dyeing, laboratory testing, and quality control. His research focuses on graphene-based multifunctional protective textiles and sustainable chemical processing. He has a manuscript under review at RSC Industrial Chemistry & Materials (Impact Factor: 11) and an accepted conference paper at the 4th International Conference on Textile Science and Engineering (ICTSE 2026), BUTEX. As a lecturer, he teaches textile and chemical engineering subjects, supervises laboratory sessions, and mentors’ students in undergraduate research, connecting academic knowledge with industrial practice.
